The question you may ask yourself when hearing all of this is how does inbound marketing actually achieve this? Or better yet, what is it that makes an inbound marketing campaign effective in bringing you leads? In order to shed some light as to what goes into a solid inbound marketing campaign, we have come up with a list of essential components that any such strategy needs.

  1. Social Media – You knew I was going to say this, didn’t you? Well, social media is the fastest growing way for businesses to get in touch with potential leads, so it should be at the top of the list. The tried and true wisdom for marketing has always been “be where your customers are” and if that means they are on Facebook and Twitter then so be it. Social media allows your business to get in contact with leads in their day to day lives and is a great way to peek their interest in your brand.
  2. Blogging – Blogging isn’t simply a way for people to discuss their differing political views; it is a way to talk about your brand and inform your customer base so that they can make intelligent purchases. On top of that it boosts your websites SEO, making it more visible to search engines. Your blog serves as a great place to funnel leads for from other parts of the internet, such as social media pages, web searches, and other blogs, and put them into a place where they can learn a little more about your brand.
  3. Newsletter/Email Marketing – Inbound Marketing isn’t just about getting new leads: it is about effectively maintain old ones. Email and newsletter marketing is a great way to achieve this, giving older leads regular updates as to what is going on with your brand and keeping you in their thoughts. A strong newsletter or email ad will link back to other parts in your inbound marketing campaign and encourage the lead to look beyond their own inbox.
